Common Signs Your Vehicle May Need Auto Repair in Waupaca, WI
When to Call a Certified Technician for a Closer Look
Some car problems start small, but turn serious fast if ignored. If you’re noticing any of these issues, it’s time to schedule service at Matthews Tire in Waupaca:
- Warning lights: A check engine, oil, ABS, battery or other warning light can signal a range of issues. A flashing check engine light indicates a serious problem and requires immediate professional attention.
- Strange sounds: Hearing grinding, knocking, squealing or clunking? These can point to brake wear, suspension trouble or drivetrain issues that shouldn’t be left alone.
- Leaks under the car: Puddles or drips of coolant, oil or brake fluid are signs something’s leaking. Left unchecked, these can lead to serious damage and bigger repair bills.
- Performance changes: If your car stutters, stalls or just doesn’t feel right when accelerating, it could be a sign of engine, ignition or fuel system trouble.
- Braking issues: A soft brake pedal, screeching sounds or increased stopping distance are red flags. Get your brakes inspected right away for your safety and your wallet.

“I brought my vehicle in for squeaky brakes and instead of fixing it and charging me, they actually told me that it didn't need repair! Instead of getting a few hundred bucks, they got a customer for life.”
— Paul Wisneski
